Like most things we sell at Trexler-Haines, fireplaces come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. Additionally, some fireplaces are fantastic supplemental heaters and some do not provide heat at all. A lot goes into making a fireplace purchasing decision, and Trexler-Haines wants to make sure you are satisfied. - Natural Ventilation – Air from room is used for combustion and by products are sent outside.
- Class A Chimney for wood
- B-Vent for gas
- Direct Ventilation – Air is brought in from outside, and by products are sent outside
- Vent Free – Air source and combustion byproduct destination are both the room
- Style - What catches your eye?
- Heat - Some fireplaces produce heat and others do not. The ones that do produce heat vary with regard to how much heat they can produce. The ones that do not are typically just for show.
- Fuel Source - Propane, natural gas, wood, or “electric” (nothing burns)
- Ventilation – Gas burning fireplaces can use direct venting, natural venting, or can be vent free. Wood burning fireplaces require a Class A Chimney. Electric fireplaces have no ventilation.
- Style - The overall look and feel can be very modern or more traditional.
